We found this photo poster at the Key West Art Show. Love the thought. Actually the DIXIE IV's habits probably lie in the middle. We seldom are as neat as the left but we are not as messy as the right, most of the time.

Key West Art Show; Mike and Terry's Visit
Mike and Terry, cruising friends who swallowed the anchor and home ported in St Petersburg, are are now heavy (successfully) into Terry's paintings and the resulting art show circuit. They visited for a few days on the way to the Key West Art Show. It will come as no surprise to the readers (if there are any) that we spent some time at the Dolphin Research Center, again. The first picture is Mike and Terry at their booth at the Art Show in Key West which we took today in another visit to Key West, the second is a good picture of a non native invasive iguana who has settled at the DRC. They are all over south Florida and have prospered (bred a bunch) since they have no natural predators here since being released into the "wild" years ago. They can be dangerous if anyone tries to pet them or attack (shoo them away) them.

John's weekend visit:Back to the Dolphin Research Center
John Anderson came for a weekend visit while Bonnie is off helping her sister deal with cancer. John had never been to the Dolphin Research Center and we had recently become members which allows unlimited visits and one additional visitor at no charge. So off we went. Photos: That's John in front of the entrance sign, the last picture is a dolphin looking at visitors looking at him. They will float there looking back as long as you stand there. And the middle picture is some more acrobatics. This is not work for them; they love to show off.
Another worthwhile visit.

Curbside fuel service
There is a sevice available in the middle keys for dockside fueling. Not only does it save time by making it unnecessary to leave the dock for fuel but the price was the cheapest we have seen in four years. The tanker holds 4000 gallons of marine diesel fuel and over two days more than a dozen boats were fueled. Good deal.
Bob and Cecily's Visit: Another visit to Key West
Bob and Cecily Wells came for a visit. A short one, only two days. Cecly had never been to Key West so off we went on Sunday. A nice day, a little cool with the 20-30 kt winds that have been blowing for weeks. The normal routine, lunch at the Half Shell Raw Bar (a picture of Bob and Cecily and Chet and Dixie in front of the restaurant). Some sight seeing activity including the Conch Train Tour for Bob and Cecily. Sunset at Mallory Square and dinner (delicious) at the Blue Haven. Two more pictures: a large strutting rooster (they are all over the place) and a visiting cruise ship at Mallory Square. A nice full day.

A Cry for Sympathy
Its cold here in the Florida Keys. It did not get above 69 today and it will be down to 42 tonight with 30 mph winds. It will be Saturday before it gets back to the mid 70's. This is unacceptable! I know some will think that snow and ice storms with below zero temperatures are worst than this but perspective is always based on expectation. Its OK to be cold and miserable if one expects to be cold and miserable. Therefore in the perspective of the weather victims in the Keys this juat as bad. Please be sympathetic and send condolances as we suffer for 36 hours. Thank you for your prayers.
